Chip Ganassi Racing will appeal the penalty issued to the No. 42 team following the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. The team was found to be in violation of Section 10.9.9.d of the NASCAR Rule Book, which covers the Damaged Vehicle Policy and mechanical repair.
